Printing Tips
- PNG: 2550 × 3300 pixels, tagged 300 DPI. PDF: US Letter, 8.5 × 11 inches.
- Choose Letter and Actual Size for the PDF. On A4 paper, choose Fit to Page so the borders are not cropped.
- Print in black and white. Test one sheet before printing a class set.
- Use ordinary paper for crayons or colored pencils; heavier paper helps with markers. Keep a spare sheet beneath the page.
Coloring Ideas
Try soft gray or cinnamon fur, yellow flower centers and light blue water. Start with one light layer, then deepen a few areas around the edges. Younger children can choose just three colors; older children can add patterns, tiny highlights or a background border. There is no single correct palette: a rainbow version is welcome too.
A Simple Creative Activity
Before coloring, describe the scene together. Count the animals, find the largest shape and choose a favorite detail. Afterward, invent a short story about what happens next. This is an imaginative illustration, not a guide to animal housing or safe pet handling.
