Fun fact to share while coloring: chinchillas never take water baths. They roll in fine dust to keep their super-thick fur clean, and they have about 50 to 80 hairs growing from each follicle.
Printing Tips
- The file is a print-ready 2550×3300 px (8.5×11 in at 300 DPI) page. Choose US Letter, or A4 with “Fit to page” turned on.
- Print in black and white or grayscale to save ink. The bold outlines stay crisp on any home printer.
- Use thicker paper (cardstock, 65 lb or 160 gsm) for markers or paint so colors don’t bleed through.

Coloring Ideas
Most chinchillas are soft grey, but they can also be beige, white or black velvet. Try a honey brown for the wooden tub and golden yellow for the hay. Crayons work best for younger kids, while colored pencils and fine-tip markers are great for the small details.
