Fun fact to share while coloring: gerbils come from the deserts of Mongolia, love to dig deep tunnels, and are happiest living in pairs or small groups.

Printing Tips

  • The file is a print-ready 2550×3300 px (8.5×11 in at 300 DPI) page. Choose US Letter, or A4 with “Fit to page” turned on.
  • Print in black and white or grayscale to save ink. The bold outlines stay crisp on any home printer.
  • Use thicker paper (cardstock, 65 lb or 160 gsm) for markers or paint so colors don’t bleed through.
  • Want a smaller sheet for little hands? Print at 50% to fit two pages on one sheet.
  • Free for personal, family and classroom use. Please don’t resell or re-upload the file.

Coloring Ideas

Most pet gerbils are golden “agouti” brown with a pale belly, but you can also try grey, black or cream. Bright yellow petals and a brown center make the sunflowers pop. Crayons work best for younger kids, while colored pencils and fine-tip markers are great for the small details.
