This free printable capybara coloring page shows a smiling mother capybara swimming across a pond with two baby capybaras riding on her back, surrounded by lily pads, cattails and a dragonfly. It is a sweet, calm scene that kids and capybara fans of all ages love. Like all our printables, it is completely free for home and classroom use.

Fun fact to share while coloring: capybaras are excellent swimmers with slightly webbed feet, and babies often climb onto their mother’s back to rest in the water.
Printing Tips
- The file is a print-ready 2550×3300 px (8.5×11 in at 300 DPI) page. Choose US Letter, or A4 with “Fit to page” turned on.
- Print in black and white or grayscale to save ink. The bold outlines stay crisp on any home printer.
- Use thicker paper (cardstock, 65 lb or 160 gsm) for markers or paint so colors don’t bleed through.
- Want a smaller sheet for little hands? Print at 50% to fit two pages on one sheet.
- Free for personal, family and classroom use. Please don’t resell or re-upload the file.
Coloring Ideas
Use a warm brown for the capybaras, soft blues and greens for the pond and a sparkly turquoise for the dragonfly wings. Crayons work best for younger kids, while colored pencils and fine-tip markers are great for the small details.
